Post it. Someone at your gym will take it before it expires.
Spare doesn't handle payment. Money and the handover happen at the gym.
Takes about a minute
Claims, messages and passes running out
Browsing the board doesn't need an account. Posting, asking and saving do.

So people know who they're meeting at the gym.
Step 1 of 4
You must be 18 or over to use Spare.
Use 8 or more characters.
Pass cards expire with passes still on them. Spare is where Bangkok climbers pass the spare ones on instead of letting them lapse.
Four steps, and the last one happens in person.
Pick as many as you like. The first one is your home gym — we'll put it at the top of the board and tell you when passes come up.
So we don't show you lead passes you can't use.
Rope gyms check certification at the door. A pass doesn't get you past it — that part is between you and the gym.
You can take a spare pass, and post your own when a card runs out of time before it runs out of passes.
Your Spare account is ready.

Spare is a noticeboard for climbers in Bangkok with passes they won't use. We list what people post and let them message each other. We are not the seller, we don't own the passes and we're not party to any arrangement you make.
Spare never handles payment. A price on a listing is what someone says they want — you settle it between yourselves at the gym. We hold no funds, offer no escrow, and can't refund anything or reverse a payment.
Gyms set their own terms on whether a multi-visit pass can be used by someone else. Some allow it, some don't. Check before you post or claim. Posting a pass your gym doesn't permit you to transfer is between you and your gym — Spare can't grant permission we don't have.
Getting a pass is not a qualification. You're responsible for your own certification, belay competence and safety, and for meeting whatever the gym requires of you at the door.
Hand over at the gym, in daylight, at the desk where you can. Don't share your home address. If someone makes you uncomfortable, report them and we'll look at the account.
Spare is for passing on passes you bought for yourself and no longer need. It isn't for buying passes in bulk to resell, for touting above face value at scale, or for advertising anything else.
Your email, name, home gym and the listings and messages you create. We don't sell any of it. Ask us and we'll delete your account and its content.
We provide the noticeboard as it is. We don't vet listings, verify that a pass is valid, or guarantee anyone turns up. Disputes over a pass are between the two of you.
Thirty days of the Bangkok board. Everything here is counted from the same event log the app writes as you use it.
Spare works because climbers are decent with each other. Six things keep it that way.
In opening hours, where there's staff. You'll usually need the other person there to check you in anyway. Don't share your home address, and don't arrange a handover somewhere quiet.
Some gyms let a multi-visit pass be used by someone else. Some don't. That's between you and your gym, and Spare can't grant permission we don't have. If a gym says no, flag the listing and we'll take that gym off the board.
A no-show costs someone their evening and the pass its last few days. Plans change — just message. Repeated no-shows get the account removed.
These are passes you already paid for and won't use. Priced above the gym's own day pass, they help nobody — and we show that comparison on every listing. Buying passes in bulk to resell isn't what this is for.
How many passes, when they expire, and whether the card still works. Mark them off as they go. A listing that's already gone wastes everyone's time.
You can report a listing or a climber from their page. We don't tell them who reported.

Spare, in Bangkok, is the data controller for everything below. Message @sparedotfit about any of it, and we will answer there.
You give us: name, email, date of birth, city, home gym, and if you add them a photo, bio and Instagram handle; plus the listings, requests, offers and messages you write.
We record as you use Spare: which listings you post and claim, and when; your notification and email choices, gyms you follow and passes you save.
Visit counting, only if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie notice: for each visit, where it came from (for example Google or Instagram), how long it lasted, how far you scrolled, which screens you opened, whether it ended in a sign-up, the kind of device and system, your time zone and language. It is tied to a random number for that browser tab, never to your name or account. Choose "Essential only" and none of this is recorded.
We do not track your location, and we have no advertising trackers.
Your name, home gym, and the passes you post or have sold are visible to anyone using Spare — you are meeting a stranger at a gym, and a name is the least they should have. Your email, mobile and date of birth are never shown to other climbers, not even to someone you're meeting.
To run the service you asked for (contract), to keep people safe and handle disputes (legitimate interest), and — for optional emails about your home gym — because you consented. You can withdraw that consent any time in Settings without losing your account.
Google Firebase, which stores the service, and Resend, our email provider, so we can send you password resets and the notices you choose. That's it. We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with gyms.
While your account is open, plus 12 months after you close it for disputes, then deleted. Messages are kept as long as both accounts exist.
You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email us and we'll answer within 30 days. If we get it wrong you can complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee.
Spare is for people 18 and over. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger we delete it.
Your name, email, mobile and date of birth are never shown to other climbers, whatever these are set to.
Tap the star on any gym in the feed. We'll tell you when someone posts a spare pass there.
A blocked climber's passes, requests and messages are hidden from you.
Removes your account, your profile, the passes you posted and the requests you made. It cannot be undone, and hand-offs you have already completed stay on the other person's history.
What's wrong with it?
We read every report. The person isn't told who sent it.
